Scholarship applications must be received or postmarked by the March 15 deadline each year.
Scholarship will be given to each Army and Air, providing qualified applicants exist from each service. If not, two scholarships may be issued to either service or if only one qualified applicant exists, only one scholarship will be given.
Scholarships will be awarded to members or direct family of members who attend or plan to attend any accredited institution of higher education. Any type or level of higher education will be considered for award.
Scholarships will be given as a one time award. Winners will not be considered to receive the award more than once.
The scoring team will consist of two or three educators who have no interest in who scholarships are given to. If it is determined that a member of the scoring team has a conflict of interest with one of the applicants, that team member will not score the application the said applicant.
Scoring will be completed in accordance with the scoring matrix to be provided by the Scholarship Committee Chairperson.
The scoring team will return the scored application materials to the Scholarship Committee Chairperson. The Selection Committee will review the results and award the scholarship(s) by consensus. Scholarship Committee Chairperson will only vote as a tie-breaker.
