OFFICE: 1ST VICE PRESIDENT
TERM: 1 year (Elected)
DUTIES
- Acts as administrator of the EANG Executive Board during all official meetings in the absence of the President.
- Provides the Executive Board with a list of unit representatives to serve as "points of contact" for association correspondence. This list will be available no later than the first Executive Board Quarterly Meeting following the Annual Conference.
- The 1st Vice-President is the external information coordinator. Assures prompt distribution and sufficient copies of all EANG Newsletters, committee reports, minutes of meetings, announcements of meetings and any other association material to the eight Executive Members-at-Large (six Army, two Air). The publications committee will provide adequate copies of this information.
- Confirms that the eight Executive Members-at-Large are passing that material on to the ten Executive Committee Members from major units.
- Receives all correspondence from the members, individual units or their representatives; researches the correspondence for accuracy and meaning; and presents this correspondence to the Executive Board for necessary action. Upon action on the correspondence, prepares and forwards the appropriate reply to the member, individual unit or their representative.
- The President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, and Treasurer will develop an inventory accounting system.
- All official reports/correspondence of the 1st Vice-President will be typewritten and signed with two copies provided to the Secretary for the records.
- All quarterly reports of the 1st Vice-President will be presented in sufficient copies for the Executive Committee, insuring at least one clear copy is given to the Publications Chairman for reproduction and distribution to all the units. All Annual Conference 1st Vice-President's reports will be presented to the Publications Committee at least 30 days prior to the conference. This will allow ample time for printing and shipping to conference site for inclusion in the registration packets.
GOALS:
The 1st Vice-President will provide the Executive Board a list of his/her goals for the term no later than the first Executive Board Quarterly Meeting following the Annual Conference.
